Business Grants Available in Osceola County

Osceola County as well as the cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud have all recently launched grant programs for Osceola-based businesses and nonprofits. Take a look at the information below to find a grant that works for your business or organization:

CARES Act Osceola County Emergency Grant Program

  • Deadline Date: July 27, 2020
  • Where to apply: https://www.weveopenedsafely.com/
  • Maximum Grant Amounts:
    • $2500 (1 Employee)
    • $5000 (2-25 Employees)
    • $10000 (26+ Employees)
  • Grant Type: Reimbursement
  • Total Amount Available: $3.2 Million
  • Location Restrictions:
    • Business must be located in Osceola County
    • 51% must belong to Florida Resident
  • PPP Recipients may Apply: YES
  • Non-Profits May Apply: Yes - All Types
  • Business Rent / Mortgage / Utilities: Yes, on a reimbursement basis for expenses incurred between Feb 1 and May 31 and not covered by PPP or EIDL funds
  • Other: Applicants are REQUIRED to register with weveopenedsafely.com and complete the Economic Damage Assessment Survey at floridadisaster.biz. Applicants must also be current on all County taxes, assessments, and fees and have no outstanding code enforcement violations.

Kissimmee Business Assistance Grant

  • Effective Date: July 15, 2020 - July 21, 2020
  • Where to apply: www.kissimmeeresponds.com/businessassistance
  • Maximum Grant Amounts:
    • $5000 (1 to 5 Employees)
    • $10000 (6-75 Employees)
  • Grant Type: Random Selection with Payments made Directly to Collectors
  • Total Amount Available: $213,304
  • Location Restrictions: Business MUST be located in the Kissimmee City Limits
  • PPP Recipients may Apply: YES
  • Non-Profits May Apply: Yes
  • Business Rent / Mortgage / Utilities: Yes (1 Month) for expenses incurred in the month of June or later
  • Other: Grant MUST AID in the creation or retention of a job, and employees hired or retained must be considered Low/Moderate Income and maintain employment for at least six months.

City of St. Cloud COVID-19 Non-Profit Assistance Grant

  • Effective Date: May 29, 2020 until funds are depleted
  • Where to apply: https://www.stcloud.org/1823/Small-Business-Recovery-Resourcesall-Business-Recovery-Resources
  • Maximum Grant Amounts: $5000
  • Grant Type: Scoring Process, Post-grant Reporting Required
  • Total Amount Available: $50,000
  • Location Restrictions: Nonprofits must be located within the geographic boundaries of St. Cloud, or serve 51% of the St. Cloud population
  • PPP Recipients may Apply: NO
  • Non-Profits May Apply: Yes - 501(c)(3)
  • Business Rent / Mortgage / Utilities: NO
  • Other: Applications will be evaluated by the Office of Economic Development and awards will be authorized by the St. Cloud City Manager and approved by the St. Cloud City Council.

City of St. Cloud COVID-19 Economic Recovery & Stimulus Plan Small Business Grant

  • Effective Date: May 29, 2020 until funds are depleted

  • Maximum Grant Amounts:
    • $2500 (Self-Employee)
    • $5000 (2-9 Employees)
    • $10000 (10-25 Employees)
  • Grant Type: Scoring Process, Post-grant Reporting Required
  • Total Amount Available: $200,000
  • Location Restrictions: Business must be located within the Geographic Boundaries of St. Cloud
  • Business Rent / Mortgage / Utilities: NO
  • PPP Recipients may Apply: NO - PPP, EIDL, or SBA Recipients
  • Other: Applications will be assessed and scored by an evaluation committee in the order received.
